Riverside Park spans four miles along Manhattan's West Side, from 72nd Street to 158th Street. With full views of the Hudson and the western shore of industrial New Jersey, just far enough away to provide an attractive backdrop, there is ample room for runners, bikers, dogs, and playing children to coexist. The park design may remind you of Boston Commons and Central Park; this site, too, was designed by Olmstead, 25 years after his commission in Central Park.
